The Water Crisis in Africa

As many of you know, the first issue that our club has decided to help is the water crisis in Africa. We chose PlayPumps International, a non-profit organization to donate our money to. But why do we need to donate money to the water crisis in Africa? The main reason is because there is a horrible lack of clean water in African countries. Did you know that 1.1 billion people around the world have no access to clean water?

Over 14,000 people each day die of water related diseases! Water related diseases are the leading cause of death in the world!

Our action benefiting PlayPumps International is just a start. Many people need to act and take a stand against this horrible crisis. Ordinary people have the ability to solve big problems.

Your Blog Questions:
1. What action do you think could be taken by ordinary people to help solve the water crisis in Africa?
2. What action do you think could be taken by governmental orgainizations and businesses to help solve the water crisis?
